Stanley Smartpants and the Mackerel Robberies | Alexander Martin

This is a great, funny book about cats, living like humans (I would have put a cat pun here, but I cannot think of one). Stanley Smartpants is a cat-detective, who is trying to solve the mackerel robberies, a series of robberies that always have a mackerel at the crime scene. This book is really amusing how it puts a twist on human things, and renames them cattish names, such as 'Catdonalds' or 'The Scissor Cats' or 'Leonardo de Catrio'! Alexander Martin writes these stories in a funny way that everyone can enjoy, and has plenty of awful puns about cats, judges, and police.
